Hi, I'm Amara, a 21-year-old dress designer based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Fashion has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started designing and sewing dresses at just seven years old, and over the years, I've developed my skills through creativity, dedication, and a genuine love for the craft.

I'm passionate about sustainable, slow fashion and believe that every garment should be thoughtfully designed, carefully made, and created to last. My favourite pieces to design are dresses, and I've had the privilege of creating custom designs for weddings, editorial shoots, proms, balls, and many other special occasions.

At Amara Designs, my goal is to make your dream dress a reality. I offer a fully personalised experience, guiding you through every stage of the design process, from an initial consultation where we discuss your vision, to fittings, right through to the moment you receive your one-of-a-kind dress.

My love for slow fashion doesn't stop at designing. I'm also passionate about giving beautiful garments a second life and have a real love (and, if I do say so myself, a great eye!) for discovering unique vintage and second-hand dresses. Carefully curating pre-loved pieces is another way I hope to make fashion more sustainable while helping others find something truly special.
